Having tried multiple brands and types of motorcycle side panniers, the AcmeMoto 2 are my idea of the perfect balance of function, rugged-durability, versatility and style.
It is without question that Scott has devoted significant time and attention to the development of his product. His ‘no-questions-asked’ one-year crash-replacement warranty is unheard of in this market and a clear reflection of the confidence he has in his product.
The black polypropylene construction is extremely resilient. Having used them in a myriad of on and off-road adventures with my KTM 1090, I’m consistently impressed with the robustness of the construction and strength of the attachments to the mounting rack. From minor tip-overs to skidding down asphalt at a regrettable speed, these boxes easily hold their own. The parallel top grab rails are highly functional helping me haul everything from firewood to my Boston Terrier, Barlow, in his kennel.
The rubber side pull-tabs are perfectly tensioned for watertight closure and easily manipulated with one hand even while in the saddle. The top load design allows the lid to open away from the bike making a perfect tray for roadside lunch, a work surface for tools, or anything that needs a temporary home off the ground.
I’ve yet to find a situation where the AcmeMoto2s were anything other than a highly operational and necessary addition to my two-wheel adventure outfit. I never plan to leave home without them.
