I met Stephen at the Barber Vintage Festival a few years ago and his enthusiasm for Moto Guzzi’s was incredible. He also took a liking to the Acmemoto Tough Luggage so, when the time came to find someone to test them, he quickly came to mind. The more I got to know hime I realized that he had a deep understanding of social media and the place it has in the current motorcycle market.
He also rides a lot.
You will find him on facebook as Motospotter.
Here is his story.
"My first motorcycle was a 1971 BMW R75/5, I bought it from a family friend in boxes for 300 dollars. It took me 6 months to get it put together and running. I rode that BMW daily but never really did any touring on it. It was not until I owned my first Moto Guzzi that I really started to ride any distance. It was a red and white 1979 Moto Guzzi 1000 SP same year as my current blue SP. I ride my bike daily and use it for all of my travels.
The “Blue Goose” is a 1979 Moto Guzzi 1000 SP that had 8000 miles on it when I bought it in 2016. The bike needed a good deal of maintenance to make it roadworthy but has become a reliable touring bike with over 20k on the odometer just a year later. The wind tunnel tested fairing and it’s v twin motor makes it the perfect road bike for me. I take great pride in riding this nearly 40 year old motorcycle all across the country."
